Low impact development
The Framework Plan focuses on the overlaps of city and water to create a reconciliation landscape that overcomes their traditional mutual exclusivity. The plan imagines a cityscape that cultivates a highly livable green urban environment made through “low-tech/high concept” enhancements to ordinary infrastructure investments already scheduled to service the city’s growth
water quality initiatives
On June 21, 2016, ExxonMobil presented a $500,000 to the city of Mayflower, a $60,000 check to the Lake Conway/Point Remove Watershed Alliance and a $40,000 check to the University of Central Arkansas as part of the settlement from the company's 2013 oil spill in the area.
-This project was undertaken in connection with the settlement between the State of Arkansas, the United States, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company, and Mobil Pipe Line Company.
